Maroon Theatre Project

Things have been quiet for Maroon Theatre Project for some time, but we are preparing for a comeback and we would love for you to help spread the word about our upcoming event, MTP’s Community Day on December 20th.

This event will be rooted in Black feminist traditions of radical joy, creativity, and imagination. More information and RSVP link coming soon! This is a youth-led space for young people ages 18-30.

This Saturday, Oct. 12th from 1:15pm-2:30pm our Artistic Director, Tasha Grant, will be speaking alongside one of our Lorraine Hansberry Youth Playwriting fellows and member of MTP at the presented by Victoria Foundation & Rutgers University—Newark. Join us for “The Power of Youth in Newark: Voices of Leadership and Stories of Action.” This will be a transformative panel conversation centering some phenomenal youth from multiple youth-serving organizations here in the city of Newark.
