We work in partnership with local and regional South Korean dog rescues/activists and high kill shelters. Many of our dogs come from the brutal dog meat trade and are also puppy mill survivors. None of these dogs will get adopted in their homeland of South Korea because of the stigma of "mixed" dogs. So we bring them to New York City for a second chance at a loving forever home. We are also workin

칼리 Kallie

You didn’t deserve this outcome and life of suffering sweet Kallie.

Suddenly and without warning, Kallie has passed. She was a courageous and tender border collie rescued from our Project Pocheon. Our hearts are shattered, we’re so sorry you only endured suffering and went too soon to experience love and safety.

We wish you only happiness in your next life, Kallie. Thank you for crossing our path. You will be forever loved, remembered, and honored.

Our precious Numi needs a long term foster takeover!

Numi is a 6 year old Jindo Corgi mix weighing 30lbs. She is ✨ completely blind ✨ but navigates the world with confidence!

Her fosters will be traveling soon, so she needs a new crash pad - we’re looking for someone outside of NYC so she doesn’t have to navigate a noisy sidewalk. An ideal foster would be able to keep her until adoption which may be months since she has a disability.

If that sounds like you and you’re ready for a happy little friend, please reach out to [email protected]

It’s been far too long that we’ve celebrated our newest KK9R alumni members 🥰🥹

Our community is the biggest perk of adopting through KK9R - aside from bringing home your bestest friend! We love connecting with each of our adopters and watching their families grow.

All the love to the new pup parents and to many more soon!!

You won’t want to miss this newest bombshell!

Lavi is beauty and grace at 32lbs and a fresh 1 year old. She’s goofy and playful, snoozes like your grandpa at a family gathering, and cuddles like a bug in a rug. She was pulled from the Gangneung shelter’s euthanasia list in South Korea and we’re overjoyed to see her bubbly personality rise.

This gorgeous girl is more than good looks - she has many talents in store! First, the obvious, that toof! Her cute snaggletooth gives her facial expressions extra sass just when she needs it and hides away when more serious matters are afoot. When Lavi is super comfortable in her space, she’ll knock your socks off with her best human impression as she stands on her back legs as tall as she can manage. All jokes aside though, she’s been such a sweet girl inside, does great in her crate, and has even started playing with her foster buddies.

Lavi is still adjusting to the busy city and definitely needs help with her fear of large vehicles. She’s starting to make progress with her foster, but she will definitely benefit from our Jindo Journey training stipend! Lavi and her future family are eligible to receive $300 towards their training package to make sure everyone is set up for life long success.
