This short film tells the story of a father living alone in a small rural village in Sri Lanka. It shows how he spends just one day in his life a life filled with the same routine, the same sadness, and deep loneliness. After giving his whole life to build and raise a family, now he is left alone. Even though he is old and tired, he still works like the old days. I created this story based on the real things I’ve seen in my own village. These are common scenes in many rural places. To make it feel more emotional, I used sounds that all Sri Lankans know well, like Seth Pirith, the SLBC radio intro, and the sad song “Amma Sandaki.” I wanted to show the pain and strength of fathers who silently face every day with courage.

To create this short film, I only used free AI tools. First, I made the images using Google Wisk. Then, I edited them in Photoshop by adding cinematic color and mood. I turned those images into video using Google Veo 2, and the final video came out in 720p. After that, I added retro-style radio sound effects to give it an old, emotional feeling. This project is special to me, because it mixes today’s technology with the heart of our everyday village life.
