🌡️ Extreme heat is on the way, New York.
With temperatures expected to approach 100°F beginning tomorrow and continuing through the holiday weekend, now is the time to prepare.
Here are a few ways to stay safe:
💧 Drink plenty of water.
🧴 Wear sunscreen.
👕 Choose lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.
📱 Keep your phone and other devices charged in case of power outages.
☀️ Limit time outdoors and avoid strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day.
Know the signs of heat-related illness. Heat stroke is a medical emergency and can happen when the body overheats quickly.
