Spray-on coatings are a cement-blended product sprayed onto an existing pool deck. One popular coating is a concrete covering that provides a colored and textured cement surface. This product is easy to maintain and heat-resistant.

Sand filters are generally the least commonly used of the three types of swimming pool filters. They will filter out contaminants that are 20 microns in diameter or larger, which is not nearly as effective as D.E. or cartridge filters.
