This series is about survival tools: how to protect your work, your legacy, and your future when the studio meets the real world of contracts, estates, archives, and administration.

If you’re an artist, or work with artists, this one is for you.

🎨🔥 Happy Birthday, Tom Wesselmann! 🚀

First, Matisse. The color. The cut-outs. The rebellion in soft edges and electric reds. Then Shchukin. The collector. The madman who saw the future before the future even knew what it was. And then Wesselmann—Tom freaking Wesselmann—grabs the whole history of modern art, strips it down, cranks the saturation, and turns it into something too smooth, too sexy, too perfect to be real.

This isn’t just Pop Art. This is Matisse on steroids. Advertising as desire. Flesh as a commodity, beauty as a weapon. The great American hallucination. Big, bold, screaming with color and wanting you to look, wanting you to want.

And now? Paris. Short circuit. Louis Vuitton Foundation finally puts Wesselmann where he belongs—next to the icons, next to Matisse, next to Shchukin collection, next to the history he ripped apart and rewrote. The future he painted is the one we’re living in. The fantasy became reality.

Happy Birthday, Tom. You saw it all coming.
