Brooklyn Marches Against Hate

January 16, 1 PM - 4 PM

Rally at the Islamic Society of Bay Ridge at 6807 5th Ave. March down 5th Ave. to Salam Arabic Lutheran Church at 414 80th st.

We are immigrants, we are Muslims, we are Jews, we are women, we are LGBTQ, and we are workers. We all stand to suffer under a Trump administration.

Trump's candidacy and election have emboldened racists across the country, leading to an escalation in attacks against immigrants, Muslims, and Jews, including assaults against neighbors in Bay Ridge. Trump's agenda includes surveillance and persecution of our Muslim neighbors, including the creation of a "Muslim registry" and a moratorium on Muslim immigration. Trump plans to break up families by deporting our immigrant neighbors, and he seeks to bring back racist stop and frisk policies and escalate the policing of black and brown communities. Trump wants to strip workers of their rights and protections, and to deprive women of the right to choose. He plans to accelerate fossil fuel extraction, in the process pillaging native lands and bringing our planet closer to climate disaster.

Trump's cabinet of white supremacists, oil moguls, and banking executives proves that he fully intends to implement this destructive agenda.

We reject the suggestion that we should wait until the next election to have our voices heard. We believe that it is urgent for all oppressed people and defenders of human rights to organize and resist today! We believe that a grassroots movement is the only way to end the onslaught of bigotry and oppression, and we see ourselves as part of that rising movement. On Martin Luther King Day, the communities of Brooklyn will honor Dr. King's legacy of a united multiracial movement for justice.

Trump does not have a mandate, he does not represent us, and WE WILL RESIST his agenda. We will make it clear to those who seek to attack our Muslim, Jewish, and immigrant neighbors, that we are here to defend each other because an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.






نحن مجموعة من المهاجرات والمسلمات. نحن نساء و مثليات وعاملات. جميعنا نقف لنتحمل رئاسة ترامب. رئاسة ترامب و إنتخابات تجرأ العنصريين حول دولة أمريكا وهذا أدى إلى ارتفاع في جرائم العنصرية ضد المهاجرين والمسلمين من ضمنها الجرائم على جيراننا في منطقة بي ريدج. برنامج ترامب يتضمن مراقبة واضطهاد جيراننا المسلمين من بينها اختراع سجل للمسلمين ووقف مهاجرة المسلمين الى امريكا . ترامب يخطط على تقسيم العائلات وترحيلهم وينوي على إرجاع ممارسات التوقيف والتفتيش العنصرية وتصعيد الضبط البوليسي على المجتمعات السوداء والسمراء. ترامب ينوي على سلب العمال حقوقهم وحمايتهم وينوي على حرمان النساء عن حق الاختيار. إنه ينوي على تصعيد استخراج الوقود الأحفورية الذي يؤدي إلى نهب أراضي السكان الأصليين وجلب كوكبنا إلى كارثة بيئية.

حكومة ترامب التي تتكون من السياديين البيض أباطرة النفط ومديرين بنوك تثبت أنه ينوي بكش كامل على تنفيذ هذه الخطة التدميرية.

نرفض النصيحة بأن ننتظر حتى الانتخابات المقبلة من أجل سماع أصواتنا. نؤمن بأنه وقت طارئ لمجتمع بي ريدج وجميع الناس المضطهدين ومدافعين حقوق الإنسان للتنظيم والمقاومة! نؤمن بأن بناء الأساس هي الحل الوحيد لإنهاء اكمال الاضطهاد والتعصب الأعمى ونرى أنفسنا من ضمن هذه الحركة الصاعدة. على يوم مارتن لوثر كينج, مجتمع بي ريدج سيكرم بطولة دكتور كينج التي تشير إلى الصراع المتعدد الأعراق من أجل العدالة

ترامب لا يملك صوتنا وهو لا يمثلنا ونحن سوف نقاوم خطته. سوف نوضح للناس التي تنوي على القيام بجرائم الكراهية او العنصرية ضد جيراننا المسلمين والمهاجرين أننا هنا للدفاع عن بعض لأن الهجوم على واحد مننا هو الهجوم على جميعنا.
