A new generation of heritage professionals is shaping the future of Angkor.
Last week, 41 Cambodian heritage technicians and foremen were officially certified through a groundbreaking training program developed by World Monuments Fund and APSARA National Authority. Supported by the State Department's Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation, the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh and Park Hyatt Siem Reap, the program standardizes conservation skills and strengthens long-term stewardship at Angkor Archaeological Park.
For decades, WMF’s work at Angkor has centered on building local expertise—equipping technicians with the knowledge and leadership skills needed to guide conservation efforts and safeguard these monuments for generations to come.
