By collaborating with the local animal welfare groups we teach them how to support these clinics and provide education and consultation to ensure that these clinics can be sustained over time. Pets without Vets is 100% staffed by volunteers who donate their time to bring hope to animals who need it most. In 9 years, we have participated in 10 s/n clinics that have surgically sterilized over 2500 animals. We have a cadre of 100+ dedicated veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians, many with advanced training in a clinical specialty. Members of our team have been to Cook Islands, Nicaragua, American Samoa, Bahamas, Africa, and Mexico either with a Pets without Vets lead project or in support of another spay/neuter campaign. Every Pets without Vets clinic is conducted with compassion and professionalism. We treat each animal, no matter how mangy, tick infested and neglected, with kindness and love. We employ complete and balanced anesthesia and pain management, using up to date equipment and current American Animal Hospital Association Anesthesia Guidelines. We do NOT cut corners to save money at the expense of the patients safety. Above all, all of the volunteers and the community groups we partner with, are committed to making a difference in the physical, behavioral and emotional well being of our patients and to provide them with the opportunity for better health care and an enhanced quality of life.
