Cyber Institute is pleased to announce that Taylor Rodriguez Vance, PhD will be speaking at AI for Good Summit 2026 and co-convening a session at WSIS Process Forum 2026 in Geneva.

At AI for Good, Dr. Vance will present her research at United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Kaleidoscope 2026; ITU's AI and Frontier Technologies for Good academic conference. The paper, "Sovereign-Aware AI and Quantum Governance: A Multi-Model Prototype for Sociotechnical Policy Evaluation", explores how and -enabled governance systems can support more transparent, trustworthy, and context-aware policy evaluation while respecting national priorities, institutional objectives, and sociotechnical realities.

The research builds upon themes she explored while moderating the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) and Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) Geneva Cyber Week panel, "Governing Emerging Technologies Without Eroding Sovereignty: Aligning AI and Cyber Policy with International Norms", which brought together experts from government, academia, civil society, and international organizations to examine how emerging technology governance can advance innovation while preserving public trust, institutional legitimacy, and sovereign decision-making.

At WSIS Process Forum 2026, Dr. Vance will co-convene Session 280, "Applying Responsible AI Governance Under WSIS+20: Strengthening Capacity, Ethics, and International Cooperation", bringing together stakeholders from government, international organizations, academia, industry, and civil society to explore practical approaches to AI and implementation.
