This Veterans Day, we honor those who have served—and we invite you to help heal the invisible wounds of war.

Tragically, 21 veterans die by su***de every day in America. With your help we can do something about it by supporting our 21 to None Initiative.

Meet Jonny Mize, a U.S. Army Combat Veteran who served in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. When he returned home, his battles continued.

“My life was filled with anxiety, depression, anger, and loneliness. I struggled with addiction and even attempted su***de.”

Then Jonny learned Transcendental Meditation (TM) through the a partnership between the U.S. TM Organization and the David Lynch Foundation’s Resilient Warrior Program—and everything changed.

“TM brought me back to balance and peace. It helped me heal from trauma and reconnect with myself. It gave me my life back.”

Today, Jonny is thriving—with more energy, purpose, and love for life than ever before. He’s now a Certified TM Teacher, sharing the same technique that transformed his life with fellow veterans in San Diego.

“I’m living proof that suffering can transform into peace. TM gave me back my life—and now it’s my mission to protect peace by sharing it with others.”

Addressing Su***de and Developing Resilience for Veterans Through Transcendental Meditation 09/10/2025

September is World Su***de Prevention Day. Tragically there is an epidemic of trauma and toxic stress in America that is fueling and increase in su***de rates.
Su***de is the second leading cause of death for people ages 10-34
We lose 21 veterans everyday to su***de. We lose more police and firefighters to su***de than we do in the line of duty. And the rate of su***de among female nurses is nearly double that of women in the general population. People with PTSD are at significantly higher risk of su***de attempts compared to those without PTSD.

There is hope.

TM has been demonstrated to be a highly effective intervention for addressing the trauma that is plaguing our veterans, first responders and healthcare workers and putting them at higher risk of su***de.

The Department of Defense funded a $2.4 million study on veterans with PTSD and found TM to be as effective as the VA’s first line intervention for PTSD. That's why we have launched our 21 to None Program to combat veteran su***de.

We are also working tirelessly to help firefighters, police officers and nurses across the U.S.

With your help we can reduce the number of su***des among these populations through our Meditate America Initiative.

Through Mediate America every day we deliver the Trauma Healing TM technique to vulnerable veterans, first responders, domestic violence survivors and healthcare workers who need it the most. And some day soon our dream is to have TM covered so that it’s affordable and accessible to anyone who needs it.

I encourage you stay tuned to watch this short video on the success of our our 21 to None program combating the epidemic of su***de among veterans through TM.
