Our crews have restored power to nearly 161,000 of the nearly 171,000 customers impacted by record-breaking heat and severe holiday thunderstorms. Restoration work continues, and crews remain focused on safely restoring service to the remaining customers. As of 4 p.m. today, power was restored to approximately 13000 of the 20000 customers affected by the July 4 storms, with the greatest number of outages in Westchester County. We are asking customers in parts of Brooklyn and Queens to conserve energy while crews complete equipment repairs. As a precaution to help maintain reliable service, voltage has been reduced by 8 percent in neighborhoods including Broad Channel, South Ozone Park, Howard Beach, Lindenwood, Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven, Kew Gardens, East New York, Cypress Hills, Highland Park, and City Line.
