Our classroom doors opened last week, marking the beginning of a heartfelt promise fulfilled.

With your support, we began a one-year educational journey for 10 children from families facing financial hardship—children who may not otherwise have access to quality learning. This program provides not only academic instruction but also moral and social education, nurturing both the minds and hearts of our students.

The Myanmar Development Foundation has supplied books, learning materials, and a safe space to grow. But this is only the beginning. Our current budget allows us to support these children for just one year. With continued generosity, we hope to extend this opportunity to future years and reach even more children in need.

Myanmar Earthquake Disaster Relief – Financial Update & Program Overview

With heartfelt gratitude, we would like to share a financial update and program overview of our ongoing Myanmar Earthquake Disaster Relief efforts.

In response to the urgent and overwhelming needs of those affected by the disaster, we have already implemented several life-sustaining initiatives:

✅Distributed food and clean drinking water to support the immediate health and well-being of families in the hardest-hit areas.

✅Provided medical aid and emergency cash assistance to help vulnerable individuals manage urgent healthcare and daily needs.

➡️As we look ahead, our next phase of support will focus on:

✅Establishing sustainable access to clean drinking water, ensuring long-term health and safety for affected communities.

✅Supporting children's education, by providing the necessary resources and stability for them to continue learning amidst the challenges caused by the earthquake.

We remain deeply thankful to all donors and supporters. Your compassion and unwavering generosity are directly transforming lives.

Every contribution is a step toward healing, rebuilding, and restoring hope for families and children affected by this crisis.
Together, we are creating a path of resilience, recovery, and renewed dignity for those who need it most.

Note: In order to ensure transparency and the safe delivery of aid, we do not utilize any military-controlled banking systems.

Update:
The team on the ground shared these videos with me yesterday. While preparing meals for the next distribution, they also took the time to support those affected by the recent earthquake with cash donations.

Some of the victims have lost their homes, while others have been injured. A total of MMK 470,000 (approximately USD 105) was distributed based on the severity of each person’s hardship.

While we had their kind consent to share this donation, we chose to blur their faces out of respect for the privacy and dignity of both our team members and the earthquake victims.

Another team is on their way to Sagaing City, the epicenter of the earthquake. The Myanmar Development Foundation has allocated MMK 5,000,000 (around USD 1,164) specifically to provide medical aid to those in urgent need.

Meanwhile, the team in Mandalay continues to carry out additional relief efforts to support affected communities.
