💖😅THE LOST BADDIES

🫶Even when RVA Baddies Walk Club 💖 gave us great directions, a few of us (admittedly direction-challenged 😅) still managed to get a little lost on today’s beautiful Floodwall Walk.

💙But here’s the thing: when you’re surrounded by good people, getting lost isn’t really getting lost.

💛The lost baddies found each other and did what RVA Baddies and Befriend do best—show up, connect, encourage one another & spread GOOD VIBES wherever we go.

💙THANK YOU to everyone who showed up with a curious mind and an open heart to create a welcoming space where BELONGING came naturally.

💛 Several new friends shared that they felt nervous on the way to the walk and unsure about joining a group of strangers. But before long, those feelings melted away and were replaced by laughter, conversation, & CONNECTION.

💚That’s the beauty of Befriend: strangers become friends, and everyone feels like they BELONG.

✌️LOVED sharing the message of Befriend with these incredible students from all over the city participating in the St. Christopher’s Summer Institute on Leadership and Public Service. Through civic responsibility, public service, and meaningful conversations, these students are learning that real change begins with connection.

💙At Befriend, we believe connection also leads to belonging. Watching these young leaders forge new friendships, hear different perspectives, and discover their power to MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE gives hope for a brighter future.

💛Small acts of kindness, like holding the door open for someone style, giving someone a compliment or writing positive messages on notecards to give away are simple ways to start.

✌️RVA OrangeFest promotes gun violence prevention by fostering connection, belonging, & collective action for a safe, peaceful Richmond.

🎉Idealist Day is a global movement celebrated on days where the month & day match (like 6/6) to inspire positive action toward creating a better world for all.
