As we wrap up our 2025-2026, we would like to share our most heartfelt appreciation to our full time Arts Residencies team members for their hard work this year: Alex Jenkins, Guerdley Cajus, Danielle Chery, Kat LeBlanc, Safiya Bishop, and Hope Garland as well as our Managing Director, Laura Craft for a great year.
Special thanks as well to our Teaching Artists and Mentor Artists, who are at the heart of our programs and helped make a great 2025-2026 school year for our youth!
Here is a snapshot of our Youth Arts Festival that took place earlier this month. Incredible job to our students in the Young Artivists program performing the premiere of their musical, The Lost Arts Society! This program was made possible by funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
The Lost Arts Society is not just an attempt to reclaim the lost arts in music, dance and theater, but a journey of the new generation to keep the organic art into the future of America.

LEAP is proud to have The Orchard / Sony as a 2025-2026 corporate partner! Thanks to support from Sony Music’s Social Justice Fund, LEAP is expanding access to high-quality music education for thousands of NYC children, funding Teaching Artists, instruments, technology, and music software for hands-on learning.
This partnership is helping ensure every child can fully participate in music-making, with access to a rich range of instruments, from xylophones and metallophones to drums and percussion! Thank you to The Orchard and Sony Music!
