Such a great day in Brooklyn! 💙📚
Today, I had the opportunity to join families, educators, and community partners at Community School District.17 Back-to-School event.
There’s something special about being in a space filled with families getting ready for a new school year—asking questions, finding resources, making connections, and advocating for their children.
I loved connecting with District 17 families, sharing the work of Literacy Academy Collective and Central Brooklyn Literacy Academy , and talking about what’s possible when children who struggle with reading get the instruction and support they need to thrive.
This is what community looks like: showing up, sharing resources, building relationships, and making sure families know they don’t have to navigate education alone.
