Stop by every Saturday in front of Brooklyn Central Library for a taste of the big easy in the big apple! Menu highlights include Mama Cheryl's collared greens, Creole Garden Succotash, Cornbread, Mac & Cheese, and more!

In First Course NYC, Hot Bread Kitchen members are preparing for jobs as line cooks or prep cooks learning all the basic skills and knowledge need to become a successful restaurant cook.

We are delighted to welcome HBKi alumn Pilar Valdes as our Breadwinners Pitch Host!

Pilar started her entrepreneurial career at Hot Bread Kitchen Incubates in 2010 after co-founding her catering company, . In 2023, Pilar returned to Hot Bread Kitchen as a judge for our inaugural Proof Pitch Entrepreneur Showcase.

Born and raised in the tropical hearth of Manila, Philippines, Pilar is a home cook turned catering entrepreneur, private chef, recipe developer, and senior culinary contributor on .

She continues to share her food with millions. Pilar is the co-author of the New York Times bestselling Rebel Homemaker, and her upcoming solo cookbook, Shared Plates, will be published in the spring of 2027.

We’re grateful and excited to see Pilar take the stage and welcome a new cohort of entrepreneurs.
