As we continue our week-long spotlight series honoring the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame inductees, today we recognize Matthew Ricker, Class of 2014. A fourth-generation New Rochelle resident, Matthew has remained deeply involved in the community. He previously served the City School District of New Rochelle in the Employee Benefits Office and has spent years highlighting local stories as host of The Chamber Show, Chamber Chat, and the New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade broadcast. In 2024, Matthew was honored with Volunteer New York!’s Resiliency Award, recognizing his commitment to service and community leadership. Congratulations to the New Rochelle High School Orchestra on earning a Gold with Distinction at NYSSMA Majors! 🎻 Performing Level 6 literature, the highest and most advanced classification in NYSSMA, requires exceptional musical skill, precision, artistry, and dedication. Earning Gold with Distinction at this level is an extraordinary achievement and reflects the dedication of the students, directors, teachers, and families who support music education in New Rochelle.
