Pride Month is celebrated every June as a tribute to those who were involved in the Stonewall Riots on June 28th, 1969. "Police raided gay bars often in NYC, but on this particular night members of the city's LGBTQ+ community fought back. Black History month(February) an annual celebration to celebrate the achievements by African Americans and recognizing their role in US history began in 1915. Historian Carter G. Woodson & other prominent African American originally coined the "Negro History Week"- via history.com
