January Devotion Focus: God’s Presence and Strength

Scripture: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10

As the new year begins, it’s natural to feel a mixture of anticipation and uncertainty. New beginnings often bring fresh responsibilities, plans, and unknowns. But Isaiah 41:10 reminds us that we never face any of it alone. God steps into our year with us, offering His steady presence and unshakable strength.

When God says, “Fear not, for I am with you,” He isn’t telling us to deny our fears—He’s inviting us to cast our fears on Him and shift our focus towards Him. Our confidence doesn’t come from having everything under control; it comes from knowing the One who is in control walks beside us. His promise to strengthen, help, and uphold us means that whatever challenges or changes come our way, His power is greater and His presence is constant.

As you enter this new year, lean into this promise. Let God’s presence calm all anxieties, and let His strength carry you forward with boldness and hope.

Prayer: Lord, as I begin this new year, I thank You for the promise of Your presence. When fear tries to rise, remind me that You are with me. When I feel weak, strengthen me. When I face challenges, help me to trust that You will uphold me with Your righteous hand. Give me courage, God, and fill me with Your strength. I step into this year not alone, but with You. In Jesus name, Amen.
