On behalf of all of us here at the department. We would like to thank everyone who came out to support us again this year at the fish fry. It was another solid event.

In the late morning of February 22nd, 2025, at approximately 11:00 AM, the St. Anna Fire Department, along with auto aid from the New Holstein Fire Department, were dispatched to N279 Meyer Road in the Town of New Holstein for a structure fire. Based on the initial information from dispatch, the St. Anna Fire Department activated MABAS card 19-2-2 to the working still, bringing additional departments to the scene. The St. Anna Fire Department Assistant Chief arrived on scene and found a large pole building with heavy smoke and fire showing, along with multiple buildings threatened by the blaze. The first arriving engine deployed multiple handlines for extinguishment and exposure protection. Due to the size of the structure and the intensity of the fire, St. Anna command upgraded the incident to the first alarm. After several hours, the fire was marked under control.

All departments were released by 4:30 PM. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and remains undetermined. Currently, there is no damage estimate, and the structure is considered a total loss. There were no injuries to emergency responders or civilians.

The St. Anna Fire Department was assisted by the Chilton Fire Department, Elkhart Lake Fire Department, Glenbeulah Fire Department, Hilbert Fire Department, Kiel Fire Department and Ambulance, Mount Calvary Fire Department, New Holstein Fire Department, New Holstein First Responders, Potter Fire Department, St. Cloud Fire Department, and the Stockbridge Fire Department. The St. Anna Fire Department would also like to thank the Town of New Holstein and G&H Excavating for their assistance.
