Delaware Democratic Party

I can't believe it has been a year since I was elected Chair of the Delaware Democratic Party, and what a year it has been.

Together, we won the RD 20 Special Election and helped elect State Representative Rep. Alonna Berry. We strengthened our party by hiring Executive Director Seth Barnes and Data Director Dillon McCormick. We welcomed new people into the party, including my now-infamous "Mom Squad," who helped refresh headquarters and prepare offices for candidates running for office.

I've had the privilege of representing Delaware at ASDC and DNC meetings, building relationships with Democratic leaders from across the country and around the world. We submitted a compelling application to make Delaware an Early Presidential Primary State and hosted the most successful First State Dinner in our history, honoring President Joe Biden and welcoming DNC Vice Chair Malcolm Kenyatta and Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock.

While we are not yet where I hoped we would be after one year, we have made tremendous progress and are well on our way. None of it would have been possible without the countless volunteers, donors, staff, elected officials, and Democrats across our state who share a commitment to building a stronger Delaware. A special thank you to my Communications Committee, who have encouraged me to be more engaging on social media and helped the party better connect with our followers and supporters.

Now, our focus turns to the work ahead: continuing to elect Democrats who will make a difference in the lives of all Delawareans and re-electing U.S. Senator Chris C***s and Congresswoman Sarah McBride so they can continue fighting for Delaware and standing up to the harmful policies coming from Washington.

Thank you for trusting me with this responsibility and for standing with the Delaware Democratic Party. I am excited for what comes next, and I look forward to continuing this journey together.

Over the past weekend, Evelyn Brady, DelDems Chair, was proud to introduce Sarah McBride as she announced her re-election campaign for another term as Delaware's member of Congress! Chair Brady's remarks:

"Congresswoman McBride has quickly proven herself to be one of the most effective new members of Congress.

"In just a short time in office, Congresswoman Sarah McBride has demonstrated what real leadership looks like.

"While some people focus on headlines, Sarah focuses on results. She has already brought more than $6 million back to Delaware, introduced more bipartisan legislation than any other freshman member of Congress, and recently received the Congressional Management Foundation’s award for outstanding constituent service.

"Those accomplishments tell us something important about who Sarah is.

"She understands that public service is about showing up, listening, and delivering for the people you represent.

"Whether helping Delawareans navigate federal agencies, fighting for investments in our communities, or building relationships across the aisle to get things done, Sarah approaches this work with determination, intelligence, and a deep commitment to the people of our state.

"And if you need any further proof of her work ethic, look no further than this weekend. Over the last 57 hours, Sarah has traveled to all 57 municipalities in Delaware, meeting people where they are, listening to their concerns, and celebrating the communities that make our state special.

"And today, right here at this rally, she is completing that remarkable journey.

"While she now serves Delaware in Washington, she never forgets where she comes from. She knows that every corner of our state matters.

"That’s why it is especially meaningful that she chose to end this effort here in Rehoboth Beach.
