The USA turns 250 this year! We're celebrating the whole year with a reading challenge and a variety of activities.

All year-long we are participating in the Texas State Library and Archives Commission's Texas America 250 Reading Challenge where you can log 2,500 minutes (41.6 hours) of reading, state parks visits, and/or service activity! Pick up a blank log at our table displays inside the library, complete your activities before December 31st and return to the library for your certificate of completion and a mini US Flag! On July 25th, at 1pm, our Tea Blending program gives participants the opportunity to create a tea blend to take home and learn about the role of tea in Colonial America. Keep an eye on the calendar for more events later this year.
