We’ve always had an obsession for the Victorian Era—its lush opulence, gilded elegance, and mysterious decadence-- and so we chose to take our name from The Belvidere Tavern, a popular gathering place in Victorian London, where patrons enjoyed sumptuous and lingering meals and sweet, luscious desserts. Our goal was to capture the nostalgia of this intriguing era, along with that special homemade freshness and deliciousness that was created with so much love and care in our great-grandmother’s oven so many years ago. Before we were bakers, we were consumers, and we were never satisfied with any of the sweet snacks or desserts that we found in our local bakeries, cafes, and markets. When we started our company, we knew that we wanted to create a culinary masterpiece, something that would thrill, excite, and satisfy, an artisan dessert that would be truly top-of-the-line when it came to quality, freshness, flavor ,and texture.
