Fort Fidelis Ranch also known as Strong Place of Faith has about a quarter mile of river frontage on he San Bernard River. 7 miles up river is the small town of Kendleton on highway 59 about 50 miles southwest of Houston on the way to Corpus Christie. 25 miles down river is the 50 thousand acre Bernard Wildlife Refuge. The ranch is now reserved for scouts and private parties barbecues, weddings and just plain old camping and fishing in the river,
