At Saltwoods, the salvage, milling, drying, design, and fabrication is all done one tree, one log, and one table at a time. We keep the entire process in-house to ensure quality at every step. When you buy from Saltwoods you’re buying furniture that’s solid, sustainably sourced, and has a story to tell. The Saltwoods workshop is led by Roland and Dan. We’ve been building tables

Mix-and-matching materials is one of our favorite ways to build a centerpiece. For this custom Dairy Table, we paired a gorgeous piece of Brazilian stone called White Rhino with a rich walnut base, featuring classic details like a traditional ogee edge and rounded radius corners that flow perfectly into custom turned legs.

True quality means designing for the details you see and the ones you don’t. This piece is a blend of a kitchen island and a dining table, featuring perfectly matched grain across the soft-closing drawers and a 12-inch inset that gives you plenty of legroom to pull up counter-height stools and hang out while dinner is prepped.

Swipe to see what happens when a piece is built specifically for your home.

When you are designing your dream space, furniture from a big box store often feels like it doesn’t quite fit. Usually, these “standard” pieces miss the mark on the right size, the feel of the wood, or the unique character your kitchen needs.

These details show the Saltwoods difference. This kitchen island was made to be more than just a surface, it’s a centerpiece built to handle your daily life while matching the style of your house perfectly.

Choosing custom-built means having something that was made only for you, with a level of quality you can see in the grain and feel in every edge.

At Saltwoods, the way we cut and assemble our lumber defines the entire personality of a piece.

As Dan explains, choosing between Flat Sawn, Edge Grain, or End Grain changes everything, from the organic “cathedral” flow of the wood to the industrial durability of a butcher block or the intricate mosaic of an end grain masterpiece.

We work with carefully sourced hardwoods, keeping the natural character of the material instead of sanding it away. This allows us to build around the specific space the piece is going into, ensuring the grain orientation matches both the look and the function you need.

Which grain pattern stands out to you? The organic movement or the industrial strength?
