A great race write up by the USA Track & Field New England (USATF-NE)
A wet day didn't dampen performances at The Great Bear Run in Needham MA, the USATF-NE 5km Championship race, last Sunday. Leading the fields through Needham were Eric Linden (B.A.A./Boston MA) and Molly Huddle (Saucony/Providence RI), both of whom set course records in the 30 year old race. Jan Holmquist used the home course advantage and a birthday one day earlier to break the USA Masters W80-84 record for 5km
