Olin Aquatic Robotic Systems

Using advanced path planning, obstacle avoidance, and optimized sail trim, we are helping to bring sailboats into a new era. Our goal this year is to build a two-meter, fully autonomous sailboat (or Sailbot) which can perform longer missions while collecting valuable data about its environment. Our long term vision is to take what we have learned from this competition and build a robotic sailboat capable of long-distance autonomous sailing.
