Isaiah 40:2 "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak."
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." ~ Philippians 4:19 Jesus heals. He heals physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. When we pray for healing we should include each of these. Praying for a person we should pray for every thing about them. Physically we are quick to pray for but we need to remember each way a person might need healing. Also, pray for the person to feel the presence of Jesus with them and be comforted and open to what Jesus has for them.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Life can be confusing. We want to make the right decisions but are not always sure what they are. We want to live the life God has chosen for us but we don't know what it is. We want to be there for others and help them but we are not sure how. Our hearts are in the right place but we are living in a messed up world. Turn your heart to Jesus. Trust Him to have all the answers. Ask Him where to go and what to do.Submit to Him and He will guide you. Then step up one step at a time letting Him lead you.
John 14:1 1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? When the day comes that we leave this earth we will go right to heaven. Not only that but a special place will be there waiting for us. A place prepared for us that is perfect for us. Each person has this promise. We don't have to worry about what is to come. We are safely in the hands of Jesus and He is preparing for us. We will be with Him forever. We have never yet known the happiness and joy we will know when that day comes. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. We need always to remember we were sinners too. We were among the lost. While we were lost sinners God loved us so much He sent His son to suffer and die for us. Now we are saved. Now we are children of God. Now we know what love is. We need to love those who are still lost sinners. Love them like God loves them and try to bring them to God. Show them God's love. Tell them about God's forgiveness and grace. This is love. This is serving our God. This is walking in the steps of Jesus.
Ephesians 4:13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. The less we know Jesus the more we will be tossed about by the troubles of this world. We need to be continually growing and learning. Read and study the word. Be fed at church. Pray and talk to Jesus. Ask Him questions. Tell Him your doubts. He understands. Take part in group bible studies. We are either growing or stagnant. We must be growing. Each of us individually and as a church must help each other to grow and be more open to Jesus leading us. If He asks us to do something for Him He will provide what we need to do it. Don't sit there happy to just be a Christian. The most beautiful lake is useless if it becomes stagnant.
Colossians 2:6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Easter is past and life goes on. Back to everyday things. Some who celebrated Easter will now go back to a worldly life. Those of us that belong to Jesus must be careful to keep close to Him and not forget the joy that comes on Easter. Live your lives in Him growing and sharing Him.Be strong in Him thanking Him everyday. We must be growing or we will be stagnant. Jesus deserves our best.
