Getting itchy already! This brant is from a group of first time duck hunters who took a trip this January. We had an awesome trip with several flocks of brant in the decoys. This particular bird sailed 200+ yards and I watched it splash down and took the 17SC to go pick it up. The boat ride paid off when I saw what it was wearing!

This was a trip back in January on one of the coldest days of the year. My sides were sore for days from laughing so hard with these guys. They even let me shoot a nice bluebill for the wall. 3 man limit of brant, bluebill, and laughs. Let’s do it again next year fellas!

You know it’s a good day when you’re letting studs like these land at 5 yards in the decoys!

Went out looking for green with the 20 gauge and I guess these guys count!
