In the fall of 2005, many congregations in the Nashville area began noticing a significant increase in the number of rental assistance requests from people outside the congregation. Congregations called The United Way’s help line to find out what resources were available for rental assistance and learned that the few agencies that offered assistance were running low on available funds. Our neighbors are hurting. We are trying to raise $3,500 by the end of March to provide one income-based assistance grant for under $350 for the next 10 months of 2025.
