Last week, students from our Doris Frey Campus had the opportunity to visit Sports Club in Naples for a fun and active field trip!
Throughout the day, students enjoyed activities including dodgeball, tumbling, balance beam exercises, foam pit fun, seated scooters, playground time, and more. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to move, explore, build confidence, and simply have fun together in an encouraging environment designed to keep kids active and engaged.
As EPA continues to grow, we are grateful for community partnerships like this one that help create new opportunities and experiences for our students with learning differences and their families.

Our North Campus celebrated the Class of 2026 with a special all-day graduation celebration!
The day began with our seniors stepping into the role of “administrators for the day,” planning surprises and activities for the student body including free dress, extra recess, a surprise ice cream treat, and more as they enjoyed one final day together at EPA.
Later, students and staff gathered for a special senior awards ceremony where graduates received personal awards and gifts honoring their unique strengths and accomplishments. The ceremony also included our cherished Passing of the Light tradition, symbolizing the passing on of leadership and legacy to the junior class.
Graduates then walked through the halls of EPA one final time together. Students and staff lined the hallways cheering, clapping, and reaching out for high fives as the seniors made their way through the building together. The celebration ended with a streamer sendoff as graduates were showered with cheers and colorful streamers from their classmates!
It was a joyful and unforgettable way to celebrate our graduates and the lasting impact they have had on our school.

At our North Campus, students explored an exciting unit on space through interactive digital learning, hands-on activities, and creative projects!
As a class, students worked through space lessons using assistive technology that included digital reading materials, audio support, and engaging activities that reinforced comprehension through a multi-sensory approach.
One of the highlights was a hands-on Oreo cookie activity where students modeled the phases of the moon by carefully shaping each phase with the cookie cream.
The unit concluded with individual creative projects on space-related topics such as black holes, Earth, Jupiter, and other celestial bodies. Students showcased their learning through 3D models, paintings, and illustrated fact displays that highlighted both creativity and understanding.

Students in Mrs. Lagace’s Language Arts classes at our Frey Campus “adopted” their very own little chicks as part of a creative “All About Chickens” book project!
Students combined reading, writing, and creativity as they learned about chickens in a hands-on and engaging way. They wrote their own stories, illustrated their work, and completed fun activities that brought their learning to life.
Each student also created a special “certificate of birth” for their chick, adding personal details like a name and favorite things to make the experience even more fun.
It was a creative way to build literacy skills while sparking excitement and imagination in the classroom!
