Sharing updates from the most recent Collier County Public School District Board meeting.

#CCPSDidYouKnow: School impact fee rates have not been updated since 2015. Since then, construction costs have increased dramatically, making it much more expensive to build schools today. Coming up in January, the Collier County Board of County Commissioners will decide whether to adopt proposed changes to school impact fees. This decision matters for our students and schools. In June 2025, the Collier County School Board voted unanimously to recommend the maximum allowable school impact fee—because impact fees ensure that growth pays for growth. They fund new schools and classrooms for students in our rapidly growing community. Without impact fees, the cost of new schools falls on existing taxpayers.
