Rekindled

Today, the need to disconnect, to truly decompress; was overwhelming. I felt a deep pull to ground myself, to be near trees again.

In moments like this, I miss my Vermont roots. Wandering through the woods, looking up at the sky as sunlight filters through the branches, warming my face. The smell of the earth. The quiet comfort of leaves and pine needles beneath my feet.

I don’t have that here, not in the same way; but I did the best I could. Stepping away from the noise, unplugging from the world, felt necessary.

Sometimes, you have to stop and let yourself notice something beautiful.

Some mornings don’t ask to be understood, only felt.
