He is certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), specializing in stress reduction and energy balancing. He is currently licensed to practice acupuncture in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Florida. As a result of his extensive interdisciplinary training, Dr. Koppel has developed a unique holistic approach to treating his patients, focusing on establishing unobstructed brain-to-body communication in order to activate the body’s inner energy and self-healing mechanisms. The natural and safe hands-on therapies used by Dr. Koppel to restore and optimize the life flow function within the body enable chronic pain sufferers to experience rapid relief from pain and a boost in energy levels. Dr. Koppel is also certified in First Line Therapy (FLT), an advanced certification program focused on therapeutic lifestyle changes such as healthy nutrition, weight loss, exercise, and stress management. FLT is a new standard for treating and reducing the risk of chronic illness, such as obesity, high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Through personalized programs, Dr. Koppel aims to educate his patients on how to combat the stresses of modern day living, providing them with the tools needed to integrate stress management and healthy living into their everyday lives. Dr. Koppel is a firm believer in helping others and giving back to the community, partnering with his patients to assist them in achieving optimal health and complete recovery from injury and illness. He gained recognition for being one of the first chiropractors who joined in the rescue efforts in Manhattan, NY, following the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
