In 2020, final mile retail store delivery came to a halt during the world’s mass shutdown. During this period, I devoted my time to serving with a local nonprofit, Project Hope CA. As board members, my wife and I help to promote the organization’s effort of empowering the community through mentorship, reentry services, and local engagement. Today, I serve as Managing Director of my own company, JEM Logistics Group. My own professional development has inspired me to invest in the next generation of industry leaders. Through an emphasis on growth and engagement, I have had the privilege to mentor countless individuals into leadership roles. With the perspective of someone who has advanced from dock worker to COO themself, I am passionate about helping industry professionals develop their careers and achieve their goals. Getting to work in every position from volunteer to company founder has given me valuable insight into the functions of each unique role that makes up a successful logistics operation. No matter which position I held, my professional background has always been centered around finding inventive ways to optimize logistical processes, reducing both cost and waste for the clients I serve.
