Sad to announce the passing of my dear friend, Kenny Carpenter. I met Kenny in 1990 while working on my first film, Spirit of the Eagle. We kept in touch all these years and I was lucky enough to cast him in Bad Fish as the crusty old fisherman, Jack Brand. It was a tough journey for him to make it from LA to Brookings, Oregon due to his need for oxygen but his good friend Dave DP Pavey drove him half way to Sacramento the first day and then the rest of the trip to Brookings the next day. It's sad that it was his last film but I'm glad if it had to be, it was in mine. Thank you DP Pavey for your incredibly generous contribution that made it happen. Cheers Kenny, you will be missed.
