Dr Fielding from CCU and Wanda from Chapin Library teaching us about breadfruit and its history in the Caribbean and one man’s idea to spread breadfruit from Tahiti to the Caribbean. Breadfruit is loved but has a bad history as the food for the enslaved in the Caribbean. It helped prolong slavery in the Caribbean by providing a food source for the enslaved.
