It’s hard to believe St Patty’s Day 2026 is almost here! Time flies when you’re making art ☘️🍀☘️

I want to share the accomplishments through the journey with y’all so you can see what we’ve been up to this whole time and how we are evolving thanks to the success we have achieved with this beautiful art business on a mission to:

2022
January 29, 2022 – Launched on Etsy as RainbowJoyByMarjorie
Feb/March – Started social media accounts
May – Started establishing B2B small business relationships with art galleries and boutiques.
June – Started attending craft shows
June – Accepted at Don Drumm Studios to sell my work almost immediately after I started the business (My love of Don Drumm's art is what inspired me to create my own art)
October – Announced a partnership to open a shared space with my dear friend Ashley, the owner of Uniquely Ashley Designs
October – Flew to Las Vegas alone to promote the business and set up a mini craft show in a circle in the street right in the heart of the infamous downtown covered strip.
November – Opened shared space with Ashley at The Common Ground warehouse
December – created an art studio in my house
**Craft shows completed – 15 to 20 throughout the year

2023
January – Landed a 30-minute concept video call with Huntington Bank's own Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Julie Tutkovics to pitch my product to HNB
February – Ordered my first logo for RJBM
March – Appeared on the news – New Day Cleveland for a 5 minute live on-air talk with Natalie about the business
May – Accepted an invitation to be cast on The Blox, season 11 reality show for entrepreneurs
July – Traveled to Tulsa, OK for The Blox, for one week
July – Opened my own double space at The Common Ground (2 times larger than my shared space)
November – Commissioned for my most expensive piece of art ever, a $200 Mickey and Minnie holding hands and received one order for over $1,000. This person bought all their employee's Christmas gifts including some of my largest and most intricate designs. This was a huge sale as the average price point is $30.

2024
March – Got into Strongsville Mall – Blended
April – The Blox Season 11 airs to the public and I get a short commercial out of it
June – Decided I wanted to move the business to the beach
August – Accepted to Broadway at the Beach (BATB) after a long and arduous application process.
August – Cleaned out my storefront at The Common Ground
September – Listed my personal home for sale
September – Travelled to SC to find and apartment and meet with BATB
September – Secured a lovely brand-new construction apartment
September – House sold – Thank you, Sydney Jenkins!
October – Moved out of old house
November – Was a vendor at The Christmas Connection at the IX center in Cleveland - Biggest show we have done
November – Bought a new car
December – Moved into new apartment in North Myrtle Beach area
December – Established new personal IDs and licenses
December – Established the new business legal documents and changed business name to Shimmerly simultaneously

2025
April – Opened outdoor kiosk at Broadway at the Beach (BATB)
June – Offered a temporary test location at Barefoot Landing (BFL) by Burroughs & Chapin who also owns BATB
June – Opened second location at BFL directly on the intracoastal waterway with the most beautiful view in the city in a little cottage they built for us.
July – Hired our first foreign college student on a travel visa (J1) at BATB
September – Closed Barefoot Landing temporary location
September – Opened indoor kiosk at Coastal Grand Mall for the holiday season

2026

January – Received an order from Ronald McDonald House in Colorado. We are honored for this opportunity to supply bereavement gifts for grieving families. This service is in direct alignment with our mission to impact more people in a positive way through light and rainbows.

January – Started teaching wire art through immediate digital download PDF tutorials and tool kits that include tools and materials necessary to make my design all available for sale on Etsy
January – Opened ExtremeFidget on Etsy. This is an extension of Shimmerly (like a daughter company) that sells only fidget spinners, kinetic toys and sensory focus gadgets all in one amazing online shop.
February – Intend to add more product listings to ExtremeFidget
February – Intend to add more PDF tutorials with corresponding tool kits on Shimmerly. Currently, (1/28/2026) there are 8 PDF tutorials listed for sale on Etsy. I want to eventually have a tutorial for every design I have ever created. This will be an ongoing process.
March/April – Expect to see us opened up for a fresh new year at our Broadway at the Beach kiosk in the same wonderful location near the sky wheel and Grumpy Monk. We are located directly in between Coastal Outfitters and Hat Fanatic in the New England Fishing Village. We will be heavily focused on serving you at this ONE location for 2026! We love Broadway at the Beach!

We could not do any of this without the support of everyone who has been in touch with our business from January 29, 2022 when we opened up until now.
