Fine Line Automation was founded by Nathan Lowrie in November, 2008. At the time, he was looking to purchase a CNC router for some robotics projects he was build. The products on the market at the time for the hobbyist weren't encouraging; commercial routers were and still are too expensive for a hobbyist and there was absolutely nothing available in the DIY market.
