When a horse sweats to the point of dehydration, it begins to lose its ability to properly regulate body temperature. As a result, internal heat builds rapidly, and their temperature can rise to 104°F or higher, leading to heat exhaustion. ⚠️
At this point, the horse is at serious risk of heat stroke which can cause brain damage, organ failure and other severe complications.
