When it comes to baby showers, United Way of Muscatine is the host with the most! Check out this sweet opportunity to give. Better yet- take up a collection at your workplace this month!

Area families need your help! Over one-third of Muscatine County households are struggling to meet their most basic needs each month. That leaves little room to cover the cost of additional things their children may need. Each year, in April, United Way of Muscatine holds a Community Baby Shower to help fill these needs.

The Community Baby Shower collects around 450 baby items to help our community every year. These items are distributed to the Community Diaper Bank, Lutheran Services in Iowa HOPES Program, Muscatine Center for Social Action, Muscatine Community Y Family Services, The Salvation Army of Muscatine County, Iowa, and Trinity Muscatine Public Health.

Some items collected are diapers, blankets, baby wash, shampoo, car seats, baby thermometers, wipes, formula, bottles, and more! Monetary donations are welcome and help to fill in gaps as needed. These funds are used throughout the year to purchase essential items such as car seats for those in need.

Please join us to support families in need in our community! 100% of your donation goes directly to help area families.

Diaper banks across the country are experiencing shortages in larger diaper sizes. Bulk suppliers have been unable to consistently provide size 7 diapers for some time now, and we've noticed that retailers are having trouble keeping large boxes of size 7 in stock.

You can help by picking up a box of size 7 diapers on your next shopping trip (or placing an order from your favorite online retailer). Diaper donations can be dropped off or delivered to United Way of Muscatine (615 Cedar St), or you can message us here to arrange for a volunteer to pick them up from your home or office!

📣📣Help Wanted! The Community Diaper Bank, located in Muscatine, is seeking volunteers to assist with packaging an incoming shipment of diapers to be distributed in our area. A "wrap party" takes about an hour makes a great service project for service clubs, youth organizations, or work teams. One of our tried and true Diaper Bank volunteers will be on hand to guide the work, and to share the impact of diaper distributions in our area.

Want to get involved? Send us a DM, email [email protected], or call Kaitlyn at 319-931-6162!
