Pupdate on EARN rescue, Sam! 🖤
Sam is a very handsome young pup and is available for adoption!
He is also in need of a new foster home. If you’ve ever been interested in fostering, this is the pup for you!
Sam is extremely friendly to all humans, even strangers! He likes the dog park and interacts well with new dogs. He enjoys playing catch and will actually give you the ball back. Such a gentleman!
He is incredibly sweet and will prefer to lay by your side while you work or hang out with the family. Sam is happy just being with you. He doesn’t mind the activity at all as long as he gets to hang with his humans.
He can be energetic or calm depending on the energy given to him. Such a good boy!
All it takes to get him to play or get excited is just a slightly higher pitch and maybe a double thigh slap and he is ready to play!
Sam knows and respects boundaries. He loves playing tug of war and keep away. He loves love and will roll over for belly and chin scratches. Sam loves attention but won’t break down your door to get it. He loves walks and he loves food. A true canine and certified good boy!
Sam is a seven month old shepherd mix. He is located in Southern California and is very ready to meet his forever family or new foster family!
If you cannot adopt or foster Sam, please consider donating to his care, or sharing this post to help us network him.
Thank You!
Love,
Team EARN and Cutie Pie Sam 🤎

🚨 ‼️ 🚨 ‼️
EARN is in the middle of an urgent rescue and emergency care of seven cats. The two adult female cats were both living outside and were pregnant. A neighborhood resident alerted us to their condition, but it was too late to bring them to rescue before they began giving birth. Both cats, who are reportedly sisters, went into labor on the same day. EARN rushed to the cats, but one of the sisters, Laurie Marie had begun labor and then stalled. We rushed her to the ER and sadly all of her babies had died. The ER vet performed an emergency C-Section to remove the dead kittens. Luckily, Laurie Marie was saved before sepsis began.
Laurie Marie stayed overnight at the emergency vet and underwent extensive treatment before being released the following day. Her care cost our small nonprofit thousands of dollars, but she is safe and that is what matters to us.
With Laurie stabilized, we also rescued her sister, Fancy Jean, who had successfully delivered five kittens into our care as well. Unfortunately, Fancy Jean’s health quickly declined and like Laurie Marie, she was rushed to the ER last night. She is too sick to nurse her babies, and in the most beautiful and tragic twist of fate, Laurie Marie has taken over, nursing and caring for her nieces and nephews. 🤍🖤🤎
This rescue is touch and go, and we’ve felt hesitant to share. However, we are so inspired by sisters Laurie Marie and Fancy Jean’s rescue and story that we wanted to share it with you today.
Laurie Marie was named in honor of one of our most loyal supporters who recently passed away. She loved felines and EARN. Laurie Marie cared for rescued cats her whole adult life and always supported our work and mission. She inspired us each and every day and will be greatly missed. We honor her legacy with her brave and loving namesake.
If you’d like to donate to the care of these seven beautiful and resilient kitties, we would be eternally grateful.
