HSU Rescue Placement

Alben is an 11 year old, 7 pound chihuahua. He is Hypothyroid. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment, and we would like to place him in a foster based rescue. He is reported to get along with other dogs. He will be neutered and have his teeth cleaned prior to leaving HSU. If your rescue can take him, please email [email protected].

Coco is a 4-month-old, male Border Collie mix. He's a little on the larger side weighing 46 lbs. He was surrendered due to a move & his owners couldn't take him. When arriving it was easy to see he is very under-socialized with both humans & other dogs. He is not acting aggressively, he is very shut down & terrified of noises in our shelter. Coco is in need of an experienced foster that can help catch him up to where he needs to be using positive reinforcement confidence building. Wilson is an 11 year old purebred mini schnauzer with a grade 4 out of 6 heart murmur. Due to this condition he is not a candidate for neutering at the shelter. He needs to be pulled from HSU by a licensed rescue that can send him to a private vet that can perform his neuter under highly monitored conditions.

Wilson is a bit shy with new people, but he is house trained, good with other dogs and lived with a 10 year old child in his previous home.
