Celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday and rich history while using your library! We challenged you to read for 6,000 total minutes between January and July - you still have time to finish or sign up and record what you've read this year.

You can count the time you spend reading or listening to audiobooks. Printables are available at any branch to help you keep track and starting after July 4th, you can return to any branch to receive a commemorative coin.

The Budget & Finance Committee of the Rutherford County Library System Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, June 25 at 5:30 pm at Smyrna Public Library to discuss the FY 2026 - 2027 budget.

📆Monday, June 29th, 2026 at 5pm
The Rutherford County Library System Board of Directors will hold a Special Called Meeting on Monday, June 29 at 5p at the Rutherford County Courthouse for a strategic planning workshop.

Meetings are open to the public. Requests for an accommodation to enable an individual with a disability to attend a meeting should be made by calling Elsa Britt at (615) 962-7424, at least two (2) working days in advance. Meeting dates, times and locations are
