Shew. 🫠 The level of chaos that has entered my household over the last four days is WILD. That’s also exactly how many days I’ve attempted to make this post. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Anyway… Happy Belated Birthday to the best dad (and Papa) I know! ❤️ And happy birthday, America. ❤️🤍💙

This one feels especially meaningful after the last few weeks. We were so thankful he made the trip to bring Joey home which meant we had some special Papa time. Just after my dad got back home, he became seriously ill and spent many days (including Father’s Day) in the hospital. Needless to say, this birthday hits a little differently, and we’re just so grateful he’s here. 🥹

For me, celebrating the Fourth has never meant pretending our country is perfect. Loving something also means wanting it to be better. It means believing in the people, the promise, and the work that’s still left to do. Patriotism and accountability can exist at the same time🇺🇸
