The water at Stone River, Murfreesboro, TN, was shallower than anticipated, so the group adapted by using SUP and walking, and it was still a fun experience. Taken on June 11, 2026.
Barfield Crescent Park, Murfreesboro is one of the best places to hike during the hot Tennessee summer. 🌿 Even when it’s 90's degrees outside, the shaded trails under the trees make the walk peaceful, cooler, and so relaxing. Add good company and the beauty of the Stones River, and it’s the perfect summer short hike escape.
