God has always loved us SO much that it was worth it.
The Father dug His hands into the dirt to form man in His image because it was worth it to Him.
Jesus Christ endured the agony of the cross on our behalf because it was worth it to Him.
The Holy Spirit was sent to dwell in us and bear with us in all things because it was worth it to Him.
God knows all things and He is sovereign over all things. He knew we would reject Him. He knew we would doubt Him. He knew we would try to replace Him. He knew all these things… yet it was worth it to Him.
Beloved, rest in this. It is absolute truth that God loves you with such fierce love, that nothing you could ever do makes you not worth it to Him. His love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres 🤍

Let’s say I have a friend who needs to borrow 50 dollars from me, but I only have 5 dollars. I cannot give them the full 50 dollars, all I can give is 5. Even if I desperately want to give my friend that 50 dollars, I can only access and give what I have ownership of.
The same concept applies emotionally:
You cannot give someone more love than you have for yourself. You cannot give someone more compassion than you have for yourself. You cannot give someone more care than you give yourself. You can give people love, compassion, respect, care and so on, but only to the degree that you have ownership over these things in your own life.
How can you love someone in their brokenness if you do not love yourself despite your brokenness?
How can you truly care for someone else when you have not tended to your own needs first?
How can you have grace and compassion on someone else when you condemn and shame yourself every time you fall short?
When we pull all of the compassion, grace, love, respect, and care out of our emotional toolbox and we use it to mend other people while we neglect ourselves, we are not actually being any of the things we truly desire to be. Why? Because, in essence, we are handing people fake 50 dollars bills.
The more you neglect yourself and give out what you do not already possess, the easier it becomes to burnout and become resentful of everyone you are giving to.
This would be a good time to gently examine yourself and see where you may be trying to give people things that you don’t have. Again, be gentle with yourself; you are doing the best you can with what you have! It’s okay to be where you’re at, just don’t stay there forever 🤍
I would love to walk with you on your journey towards self-awareness and growth! Please feel free to reach out on social media or visit www.olivetreeministries.com to connect with me.
Let’s walk together on this journey towards taking ownership of the things we need and want in our own lives so we have more to give 🤍

When you build a fence around your yard, you don't build it to figure out the boundaries of your neighbor's yard so that you can dictate how he should behave. You build it around your own yard so that you can maintain control of what happens to your own property. Boundaries do the same.
