As we celebrate our nation's independence, we hope everyone enjoys a fun, safe, and memorable Fourth of July with family and friends.
Whether you're attending a community event, grilling in the backyard, spending time on the water, or watching fireworks, remember to make safety part of your celebration.

Whether you're spending the day on a lake, river, or reservoir, taking a few simple precautions can help ensure everyone returns home safely.
🚤 Wear a properly fitted life jacket. Children should wear one at all times while on or near the water.
🛟 Make sure your boat has the required safety equipment, including life jackets, fire extinguishers, navigation lights, and a throwable flotation device.
🍺 Never operate a boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
🌦️ Check the weather forecast before heading out and be prepared to return to shore if conditions change.
📱 Let someone know where you're going and when you expect to return.
⚓ Stay alert for other boaters, swimmers, and changing water conditions.
