So excited to be playing tonight at RoHo’s tonight! I’ve got a lineup of originals, Celtic tunes, and some rock/grunge covers I can’t wait to share with you! It’s been awhile since I’ve performed/sung as a soloist and I’m looking forward to seeing RoHo’s new martini bar in downtown Muncie too!

*New release* I recently stumbled across some recordings that I never released. I had literally just had a conversation with my daughter who was struggling with her grade in art even though I know she is probably the most talented student in the class. She hadn’t been turning in her projects because they weren’t “perfect”. I told her she needed to turn them in anyways because they’re incredible and explained how usually the self is the harshest critic. The next day I came across several songs that I had recorded and never released because they weren’t “perfect” either. I then realized that I suffer from the same perfectionism that she does. These songs could’ve been out in the world for years, but I held onto them because of tiny imperfections that only I could hear. I decided I needed to be the example, let go of my insecurities, and put them out into the world. So here is the first one, “You Know You’re Right”, a mystical spin on the Nirvana original. I’m hoping to prove to myself that I was being the harshest critic and that it actually deserved to be out in the world. Anyways, there will be more to follow as long as I can continue to put my perfectionism aside. Do you suffer from perfectionism?
